The Romantic Heroes of Fiction Writing
Ah, yes, the romantic hero. Has anyone you know started reading a book or watching a movie only to get caught up in the romantic lead? I have and if you're truthful, you have. Romantic leads are just for that. They take you from reality and give you and alternate world. If you are a good writer or someone who can write a convincing screen play you can do that for people.
Romantic heroes are normally real but they have a way about them that makes them lovable but they more than likely have something that has left them damaged. Something that has made them perfectly imperfect. Just when you think you have them figured out they change on you and find another layer to their soul. It has always been my idea that when I write, I want to make the characters so life-like that it leaves you standing in the room with them, sort of eavesdropping on their life and conversations. You are around them when no one else is.
I have found that in several books I have read and some of my favorite authors has it nailed. I follow them religiously and hope someday to be able to have the success that they have achieved. I am reading, for example, #HardJustice by #LoriFoster. I have read several of her books and they all have if you want one word for them is family. They are all friends but they are a family. They are all beautifully flawed but they are all real. They have lives that could be like yours and mine. Each one of them has a struggle to overcome and end up better on the other side.
#H.M.Ward or Holly, is an independent author of the #ArrangementSeries. This series of books will leave you on the edge of your seat as Sean Ferro, reflects a tortured young rich man showing that money can't buy you everything. Avery, the woman he chances to meet is just as ripped to shreds as he taking on a job as a high priced escort. Meeting Sean Ferro may fix a broken heart in the end but living his crazy mixed up life, both of them could end up dead. There are a lot of twists and turns in this series.
#TheCrossFireSeries, #Sylvia Day brings a nightmare of events into a love story that isn't easily forgotten. Gideon Cross is a man that knows no bounds to getting what he wants and his weakness is a young beautiful blond that shows up at the Crossfire and ends up on her assets, pun intended, Eva Tramell is a newbie to New York and runs into a millionaire that is bound to get under her skin. A dysfunctional family that is blinded to a young man that was abused by his physician after he has difficulty dealing with his fathers suicide leaves him estranged from his family. Eva isn't much better as she was raped by her half brother at a young age.
There are many wonderful books but these are the broken heroes that got me started in writing along with #E.L.James #FiftyShadesofGray's #ChristianGray which needs no introduction.
